Cathedral organist Denis Bédard and organist Rachel Alflatt in a lively programme spanning the centuries, including a little known work by Mendelssohn, the premiere of a new work by Denis Bédard, and some seasonal music on well known tunes. Performance visible on a giant screen at the front of the Cathedral.

Denis Bedard has given recitals across Canada, in the United States, in France and in Brazil and also pursues an international career as a composer. He has written over a hundred and twenty compositions and his music is performed and recorded throughout the world. He has received commissions from Radio-Canada, the CBC, the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Canadian College of Organists, the Victoria Scholars in Toronto, the Laudate Singers, Monaco Cathedral, and various professional musicians in Canada, England, France, Switzerland and the U.S.
Rachel Alflatt has given concerts throughout the province of Quebec, as well as in Ontario, New Brunswick, and British Columbia. She has also performed with the West Coast Symphony Orchestra and the New Westminster Symphony Orchestra and has recorded for the CBC’s French network, Radio-Canada FM. She is organist and music director at Queen’s Avenue United Church.
